Access the government-funded recruitment service supporting manufacturers across the UK

The Work and Health Programme: Job Entry Targeted Support (WHP JETS) scheme, led by Reed in Partnership, has already seen over 3,000 skilled people find jobs with businesses across the North East, Yorkshire and areas of Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire, since its launch in October 2020.

The WHP JETS scheme sees highly skilled operatives, team leaders and technical staff equipped with the latest relevant industry-backed training, at no cost to the recruiting organisation.

The WHP JETS team of experienced manufacturing and operations recruitment consultants work closely with each business, helping them to recruit highly skilled individuals, whose existing competencies are updated with the latest relevant industry-backed training at no cost to the employer, to ensure that they are ready to hit the ground running.

The ‘Ready for Everything’ campaign from Reed in Partnership represents their cost-free recruitment and training service, which is fully funded by the Government, designed to provide job-ready candidates across a variety of industries.

Scott Ingham at Best Connection said: “We have advertised over 30 vacancies for Ferrero by working with Reed In Partnership over the past six months. I have sent Andrew, our recruitment consultant from Reed in Partnership’s WHP JETS team, weekly updates and requirements to support the needs of the businesses.

“Andrew and the WHP JETS team are really attentive and reactive to our recruitment patterns, and continue to be instrumental in providing skilled candidates. We have placed people as quickly as the same day, but generally its only about 48-72 hours turnaround.”

A stepped process ensures businesses and individuals alike are supported to achieve their potential. Close consultation between the WHP JETS team and each business establishes objectives and growth needs, then the identification of suitable candidates from the large WHP JETS talent pool unites businesses and relevant skilled staff. Screening, interviewing, induction and tailored training programmes are also provided at no cost to the recruiting organisation.

The government-backed scheme represents a huge cost saving for companies who could otherwise spend on average £4,500 on a recruitment agency – they can access the same service and support through WHP JETS, for free.

Nicola Whelan, head of delivery support at Reed in Partnership, said: “The rate at which our team has collaborated with businesses across the country and matched their needs to our growing pool of talented candidates is astonishing.

“We have welcomed over 3,000 job starts since October 2020, and are extremely proud to continue supporting employers to fill their vacancies and talented individuals to find new opportunities across an array of industries.”

Nicola added: “Our team has a wealth of experience of working with employers of all sizes, across multiple sectors. We’re ready to support manufacturing businesses with the provision of highly trained staff to underpin business needs, so urge organisations to contact us to explore the fully funded support available.”

The WHP JETS scheme signifies an opportunity to not only benefit from support fully-funded by the Government, but to be proud of the fact that you are also supporting local communities as the scheme is designed to support those who have found themselves out of work due to Covid-19.
