LALF (Love Animals, Love Fashion) is supporting The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust (DSWT) for the launch of the brand’s first limited-edition line of shirts.

The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust was founded in 1977 by Dame Dr. Daphne Sheldrick in honor of her late husband. The brand is a non-profit that focuses on elephant conservation in Africa, and has been supporting wildlife conservation and preservation for over 40 years. Known for their work rescuing and rehabilitating orphaned elephants, DSWT has transformed into a multi-faceted conservation organization dedicated to protecting and preserving the wildlife and places of Kenya.

The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust has three rehabilitation locations, 11 de-snaring teams and 1 canine unit, 7 aircraft, and 5 mobile veterinary teams, making them uniquely positioned to offer elephants and threatened wildlife a safe and secure future. Since DSWT has been in operation, more than 200 orphan elephants have been successfully rescued and rehabilitated, with many now returned to the wild, and even having wild born babies of their own.

As a vegan, organic, and sustainable fashion brand, LALF sources its cotton from Peruvian farms that utilize ancient farming techniques without pesticides or insecticides, using non-GMO seeds, and have environmentally friendly irrigation practices. At every phase of production LALF ensures fair wages for workers, from farm to factory, to increase local economic sustainability.

“For us, LALF is a life project that goes beyond being vegan. Just as we care about animals, we also care about the environment and our partners; from farmers to manufactures. That same thoughtfulness and empathy is what drew us to elephants and why we decided they should be the company logo,” says Leo Montburn, CEO of LALF. “The partnership with DSWT is exciting for us because we believe that if we are able to help, we should.”

These products will be sold exclusively on LALF.com. The collection will be available in August with 25% of sales from every item being donated to The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust. For more information on DSWT’s mission and LALF’s involvement, visit: sheldrickwildlifetrust.org and lalf.com.
